Made some illustration about the recent nazi memorial march which took place in Germany the other week.
Liberals and Fascists.
Some demonstrators at the event said that making balloon would stop the nazis. In the eyes of some people, it is absolutely necessary to oppose a political idealogy such as fascism. It cannot be stopped by apathy or making balloons, it is an issue which need to be confronted with physical force before it is too late.
State + Nazi's - Hand in Hand.
The state in Germany is two faced. It say's it doesn't support fascism though keeps racist and fascist activity out the spotlight. On the other hand they make it difficult for anti-fascist activity to take place by criminalising anti-fascist actions.
Police brutality.
The police used excessive force in Magdeburg, they used pepper spray, batons and kettles to suppress anti-fascist activity. At one point I even caught riot police force people up escalators.
